Project: Portfolio Company Type: Investment Language: Access97
Data originating from several sources (Excel, Main frame, ASCII) are fed into an Access style database. This data is optionally massaged by the user. The user has a series of reports to collate. Rather then print the reports one report at a time, the user sets up a profile of what reports to print. The individual reports (and graphs) are all printed in succession and are presented in output as a single portfolio report.
Project: Order Entry and Invoicing with an EDI Interface Company Type: Marketing Representative Language: Access97
Marketing rep firms directly interface between the product manufacturers and product resellers. This system interfaces to the Sterling EDI system and takes 810 Invoice data and 850 Purchase Order information and pulls the information into a database to assist the marketing firm in tracking sales and subsequent commissions. The entire system has the capability to manually add purchase orders or to manually add invoices. If the marketing firm is online with a reseller for EDI, the appropriate mapping is made and the data imported to the database. The system uses the UPC product code as the nucleus of the system, with subsequent manufacturers, customers and stores defined accordingly. Salesman are associated with manufacturers or with selected products. Commissions are tracked at the salesman and the territory level.
